Life in Asia
is an adventure. Like making home-made waffle fries… or pouring hot grease in
jar that looks like glass, but winds up being plastic… and then seeing the hot
grease going down the drain- which happens to be plastic…
Or finding a new coffee shop in
town- that sells cinnamon rolls…
Or bringing cheese and/or
cheeseburgers from other cities back home…
Or just trying to pay bills and
buy plane tickets… though that is just frustrating i guess…
This weekend we had a fun
adventure. I went out with a few students a couple hours away to a mountain
range for a lil retreat.
Our journey was filled with
snow-capped mountains, picturesque scenes of red, yellow & green leaves,
red mountains, blue skies, rippling brooks, waterfalls, emerald green resovoirs
of mountain water, rolling green hills… it was amazing!

in creation. I was put in awe at His creativity and majesty. I was filled with
It was a fun adventure too. We had
a snow ball fight. And a water fight. We walked down a steep hill towards the water.
We crossed over brooks- the students did it while blindfolded or tied together…
washed each other’s feet and sat in the quiet.
